The Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana organises Milano Moda Donna (women’s) twice a year, in February (autumn-winter collections) and September (spring-summer), and Milano Moda Uomo (men’s) in January and June. Above you’ll always find the dates of the next women’s Fashion Week; the full show schedule is published on the official website a few days beforehand.
Most shows are invitation-only, but the city buzzes all the same: window installations in the Fashion Quadrilateral (Via Montenapoleone, Via della Spiga), in-store events open to the public and the atmosphere outside the venues. Corso Buenos Aires, just steps from the suite, is one of the longest shopping streets in Europe.
Taxis and chauffeur-driven cars are in high demand, so the metro is the quickest way to get around. From Lima and Loreto you’re in the centre in 10 minutes on the M1 red line, and the M2 green line from Loreto takes you towards Porta Garibaldi and Brera.
